State Budget.

With this budget cut happening, many, if not all, Californians will be affected. On Thursday Governor Schwarzenegger signed an agreement to raise the taxes by $12.5 billion. The schools and health care will also be a major increase. Therefore many people will be paying more and more to see a doctor, when already healthcare has risen. And Californians have already been paying too much as it is. The schools will be affected by this. Colleges and Communtiy colleges will be raising their bills by 9 percent. Therefore community colleges will be larger, and students will be paying more still. Universities will be affected by the cost, by losing students due to the taxes. Many people in California will be paying higher taxes, and some may be recieving IOU's because our state is in so much debt, they need that money for the state budget. the gasoline tax will be proposed a 12 cent increase.
Governor Schwarzenegger, has been working with Maldonado, trying to win hi svote and approval for the ammendment to make California's political parties open and nonpartisan. Abe Maldonado did not want the legislative pay increases during deficit years, and creating more competitive elections by establishing open primaries. Our gvernor workied with him to try and win Abe's vote and back his decision.
